The Kohanga Reo National Trust has been found not to have mis-spent public money by an independent report, despite allegations directed at its commercial arm last year.
The 22-page Ernest & Young report was launched after claims Te Pataka Ohanga had been mis-using credit cards for fuel, accommodation and dresses.
The review found that government funding totalling $92 million hadn't been misused.
But Education Minister Hekia Parata says it does list some recommendations, which the trust is working on:
She says there is also an issue around koha and how they need to be financially controlled.
Ms Parata says the Ernest & Young Report noted that although the financial control around koha were appropriate they weren't always observed.
She says the Kohanga Reo National Trust is reviewing its procedures in that regard.
