The Crown Forestry Rental Trust will spend an extra $3.3 million on funding Treaty of Waitangi claimants during the next year, it has confirmed.
The body, which funds Treaty of Waitangi claimants, released $10 million to claimants last year but the budget has grown to $13.3 million as many iwi push on with settlement.
It believes a number of claimants will no longer be on the books by the end of 2015.
