Investigators have ruled out foul play as the cause of a fire at a wananga in Otaki.
The blaze on 25 January destroyed an empty building being renovated at Te Wānanga o Raukawa and damaged the library next door.
It is believed to have been caused by a combination of hot weather, birds nests in the roof and construction work.
Principal Mereana Selby said the thousands of library books ruined by smoke and water can be replaced.
All recommended reading material will be available when students begin their studies next month.
"It's been a bit of a traumatic week but we're in a new week now, we're moving forward, and looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that will come about from what has been a tragedy."
