Air New Zealand has won the supreme award at the Māori Language Awards in New Plymouth.
Māori Lanuage Commisison chair Wayne Ngata said the airline's efforts to increase usage of te teo had impressed the judges with its decade-long programme of integrating Māori and Māori values.
RNZ also picked up two awards last night, winning both the media and broadcasting sections.
A lifetime achievement award was also presented to Dr Huirangi Waikerepuru, a long-time teacher of te reo Māori.
