Turkish officials say the number of people fleeing the fighting in Syria has increased dramatically.
Over 1600 have crossed the border to Turkey in the past two days.
The ABC reports the numbers are the highest since 15 March when around 1000 entered Turkey in one day.
The influx brings the total number of Syrian refugees in the country to 21,285.
