Chelsea football club has put in a bid to buy the former Battersea power station in London as a potential site for a new stadium.
Chelsea says it would provide a unique architectural backdrop to a 60,000 seat venue.
However, it has not yet decided to leave its current home, Stamford Bridge in west London, which has a capacity of 42,000.
By comparision, Arsenal's stadium holds 60,000 and Manchester United's Old Trafford ground has seating for 76,000.
Battersea power station ceased operating in 1983.
