Pakistani officials say at least nine people have been killed in an American drone attack on a suspected insurgent camp near the Afghan border.
Missiles hit a compound in North Waziristan, a haven for Taliban and al-Qaeda supporters.
The BBC reports more than 100 drone raids were reported in the area in 2010 and more than 60 took place last year.
Pakistan's Foreign Office on Saturday repeated its assertion that drone attacks were a violation of the country's sovereignty.
