Spain reach Euro 2012 semifinals

Spain on Saturday became the third team to reach the European Championship football semi-finals.
Spain beat France 2-0 in their quarterfinal in Donetsk.
Playing in his 100th international, Xabi Alonso scored both goals. Spain will now play Portugal in Donetsk on Wednesday.
In the other semifinal in Warsaw on Thursday: Germany will play the winner of Sunday's quarter final between England and Italy in Kiev.
Germany beat Greece 4-2 in Gdansk on Friday. Chancellor Angela Merkel attended the match.
The final is next Sunday in Kiev.
