Flight delays as Qantas system crashes

4:14 pm on 1 July 2012

A computer glitch in the Qantas check-in system has delayed flights from the Perth national and international airports.

Qantas says the system has been intermittently crashing across the entire national network, with delays also likely at Brisbane airport.

The ABC reports that airline staff have been forced to manually check-in all passengers, which is causing delays of at least two hours at several Australian airports.

The system used by Virgin also crashed.
