Syrian diplomat defects

A Syrian diplomat at the United Nations in Geneva is the latest defection from the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Danny al-Barj represented Syria on the UN Human Rights Council but says he has come to believe that serving the government was in conflict with his desire to serve his country.

Former Syrian Prime Minister Riad Hijab fled to Jordan earlier this week.
