A suicide bomber killed at least seven policemen attending the funeral of a colleague in the North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia on Sunday.
The Interfax news agency reports 11 others were wounded at a wake for a fellow officer shot on Saturday in the Malgobek district in the north of Ingushetia.
Russian security forces are frequently targeted by Islamist separatists in the region.
Masked gunmen also opened fire in a mosque in Dagestan on Saturday evening as worshippers celebrated the end of Ramadan, wounding eight. An explosive device was later deactivated by robot.
