Russian billionaire Boris Berezovsky has lost his court battle in London with Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich.
Mr Berezovsky - who lives in exile in Britain - had been seeking almost £3 billion in damages from Mr Abramovich, accusing him of blackmail over a business deal, the BBC reports.
Mr Abramovich had denied being a business partner of Mr Berezovsky and breaching a contract with him.
During a trial in London, Mr Berezovsky claimed that Mr Abramovich betrayed him.
He said he intimidated him into selling shares in Russian oil company Sibneft.
