India and Pakistan ministers meet in Islamabad

9:05 pm on 8 September 2012

The foreign ministers of India and Pakistan are meeting in Islamabad on Saturday in the latest attempt to improve relations.

India is expected to press Pakistan to do more to bring to justice the militants it blames for the attacks on Mumbai in 2008.

According to the BBC, the Indian foreign minister, S.M. Krishna said Pakistan must address what he described as India's terrorism-related concerns.

India says it has provided Pakistan with enough evidence to convict seven people who have been charged but not yet tried in connection with the attack.

Pakistan says India's not provided information which can stand up to judicial scrutiny.

Little headway is expected to be made, especially over the long-running Kashmir dispute, although violence on the Indian side of the region is at an all-time low.
