A website featuring photographs and localities of known sex offenders in Western Australia will be publicly available on Monday.
The names and faces of about 50 child sex offenders will be published on the state government's website - the result of an election pledge in 2008.
Details will include photos, names and the suburbs in which they live, although not specific addresses.
The ABC reports the launch is being watched by other states - but there is disquiet it will prompt vigilantism and cases of mistaken identity.
