A former X Factor contestant is in hospital after being stabbed outside a nightclub in Sydney.
AAP reports rapper Jelal Edmonds, 19, is in a critical condition.
Panapa Iafeta, 20, who appeared with Edmondson on The X Factor in 2010, said the stabbing happened early on Sunday after a launch party for their new single.
"He just sank down like he was in a slow motion movie," he said. "Then he lay on his back ... (and) his eyes just kind of closed."
Edmonds, who performs as Lazy J, was taken to St Vincent's Hospital.
AAP reports two men were later arrested. They will appear in Downing Centre Local Court on November 12.
