Crown Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg is getting married this weekend to Countess Stephanie de Lannoy of Belgium.
The couple have known each other for years, started dating in 2009 and got engaged in 2011.
She is a member of the Belgian nobility and is fluent in French, German and Russian.
The celebrations begin on Friday with a civil ceremony and a gala dinner for visiting monarchs and nobility.
Saturday will see the religious wedding taking place in the cathedral.
In the evening there will be a public fireworks display followed by a concert. The BBC reports the couple are believed to have selected the music themselves and will dance among the people in the city's main square.
