Police in northeast India say a boy was killed and five people wounded when a grenade was thrown into a crowded market.
The incident in the town of Udalguri, north of Assam state's capital Guwahati.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but police have blamed previous attacks on groups fighting for independent homelands in Assam.
