A police officer was killed and and at least 11 other people wounded by a grenade thrown at a church in a police compound in eastern Kenya.
The BBC reports the man who died was serving as pastor of the church in Garissa, near the border with Somalia.
Most of the wounded are also reported to be police officers.
In July, 15 people were killed in raids on churches in Garissa.
There have been a series of grenade attacks in Nairobi and the port city of Mombasa since Kenya sent troops into Somalia last October.
