Daughter killed to prevent family dishonour

A Pakistani couple suspected of killing their teenage daughter by pouring acid on her say they carried out the punishment because they believed she would bring dishonour on their family.

The couple were arrested in Pakistan-administered Kashmir last week, after their daughter, Anusha, was found to have burns over 60% of her body.

The father says his daughter was punished for looking at a boy; the mother said it was Anusha's destiny to die at their hands.
