Police in South Africa have arrested a man who swallowed 220 diamonds in an attempt to smuggle them out of the country.
The man was arrested at Johannesburg airport.
A scan of his body revealed the diamonds he had ingested. The BBC reports they were worth $US2.3 million.
The man was reportedly of Lebanese origin and travelling to Dubai.
Another man was arrested in March attempting to smuggle diamonds out the country in a similar way.
