Tongan police say a post-mortem on the body found on a yacht stashed with cocaine shows no evidence of foul play.
The badly decomposed body was found last week on board the Jereve, which divers discovered wrecked on an uninhabited Tongan atoll.
Cocaine weighing 200kg was also found on board.
Tonga's Police Commissioner Grant O'Fee says initial examinations reveal the body belonged to a man possibly in his thirties, but police are waiting on the results of more tests for clues to his identity and why he died.
He says the yacht clearly ran aground in rough weather, but there's no evidence of a head injury.
Mr O'Fee says the man may have suffered an injury that's not easily discovered, but that's just speculation at this stage.
