Former England captain David Beckham is to leave the LA Galaxy next month after six years playing in the United States.

Beckham, 37, says he intends to continue his playing career elsewhere.

He intends to leave the United States after the MLS Cup final on 1 December. The trophy was won by the Galaxy for the third time last year.

Beckham made 398 appearances Manchester United before moving to Real Madrid in a £25 million deal in 2003 and then to the United States in 2007.

Twice he moved on loan to AC Milan during the American off-season

The BBC reports two clubs in the Australian A league say they are interested in signing Beckham; Melbourne Heart and Perth Glory.

Beckham was voted the league's best player by supporters last season.
