President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has told the Revolutionary Guards to sell some of their assets to help the beleaguered economy.
The IRG is one of the richest institutions in Iran, holding land and property. But the BBC reports it it is also subject to sanctions imposed by the West against Iran's nuclear programme.
The BBC reports Mr Ahmadinejad's remarks were an acknowledgment of the impact of the sanctions.
