A suicide bomber killed at least eight people at a political rally in the city of Peshawar in north-western Pakistan on Saturday.
The blast happened near the house of a leader of the Awami National Party, which is part of the national governing coalition.
A provincial minister was among those killed. The BBC reports he died in hospital of his wounds.
The Pakistani Taliban said it carried out the attack.
