Christmas lights on border not welcome

9:18 am on 25 December 2012

North Korea has condemned as psychological warfare a giant display of Christmas lights in South Korea, near the border.

The display - featuring thousands of lights on a steel tower - was put up by Christians.

In the past, the government in Pyongyang has threatened retaliation.

Last year, the South Korean government told Christians not to light the giant tree to avoid tensions after the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.
