A stolen commuter train has crashed into a house in a suburb of Stockholm.

The four-carriage train was empty when it was driven out of the depot by a cleaner on Tuesday.

But it jumped the tracks and hit a three-storey building in Saltsjoebaden.

Police arrested a woman, who was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. Nobody else was hurt.

According to the Arriva train company, the train was travelling at 80km per hour when it reached the end of the line and crashed to a halt.
