President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has unveiled a new fighter jet in Tehran to mark the 34th anniversary of the Revolution in 1979.
The aircraft, known as the QaherF313, or Conqueror, looks similar to a stealth fighter. It was developed in Iran.
Mr Ahmadinejad said the new jet is part of a military programme based on deterrence rather than aggression.
In a ceremony broadcast on State TV on Saturday, Mr Ahmadinejad said he ranked the aircraft as "among the most advanced fighter jets in the world".
