Emergency warnings have been issued as fires threaten homes across the Australian state of Victoria, including Melbourne's northern suburbs.
The Country Fire Authority says homes are under threat from a fast-moving fire and there are unconfirmed reports that some properties have been destroyed on Monday.
Residents are being told it is too late to evacuate if they have not already done so, but there are reports of traffic jams as residents try to flee, the ABC reports.
An emergency warning is also in place for a 1200-hectare fire in the Grampians in western Victoria.
