Police in Britain say they have identified more than 20 people they would like to interview about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann during a family holiday in Portugal in 2007.

Madeleine was nearly four when she went missing from her family's holiday flat in an Algarve resort.

Scotland Yard said officers were working closely with Portuguese police and considering their next steps.

The review into Madeleine's case began last May after Prime Minister David Cameron responded to a plea from her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann.
