Falling rocks are hampering efforts to rescue 23 miners still trapped after a tunnel collapsed at a mine in the Indonesian province of West Papua.

Five people are confirmed dead and 10 were rescued after an underground training room at the Freeport Grasberg gold and copper mine collapsed on Tuesday.

The company said hopes of finding any more of the men alive are fading.
