China's state-run media says the country's law enforcement officers are negotiating to extradite an Auckland millionaire listed fifth on its most-wanted fugitives list.
The China Daily reported that Yan Yongming, otherwise known as Yan or Bill Liu, is wanted for corruption in China.
New Zealand police here said they would not discuss individuals on China's fugitive list.
However, Mr Yan was named on Interpol's website as wanted for prosecution by China's judicial authorities.
Eleven of the 100 fugitives on the list issued by China last week were believed to be in New Zealand.
