United States authorities have arrested a person who drove to a White House checkpoint last night and claimed to have a bomb, CNN reports.

Citing two law enforcement sources, CNN said there was no confirmation of any device in the vehicle, but White House security had been upgraded.
It was the second scare at the White House on Saturday. A person earlier jumped over a bike rack in a buffer zone in front of the building, but was unable to scale a fence into the grounds before being tackled by guards.
US President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of both incidents.
