Zimbabwe's annual inflation, already the highest in the world, jumped to 11.27 million% in June from 2.2 million% the previous month.

The country's Central Statistical Office also said month-on-month inflation accelerated to 839.3% from 433.4% the previous month.

Zimbabwe is suffering chronic shortages of food and fuel and there are no signs that rival parties will reach a power-sharing deal to end the country's political crisis.
