North Korea develops "special" noodle

North Korean researchers have reportedly developed a new kind of noodle that delays feelings of hunger for longer than ordinary noodles.

A pro-North Korean newspaper in Japan says it is made with a mixture of soya beans and corn, and has twice the protein and five times the fat content of other noodles.

It says the new noodle will soon be made available across North Korea.

The United Nations warned last month that millions of North Koreans were facing severe food shortages, the worst since the late 1990s.
