Call for Australian cricket body to drop KFC link

Obesity experts have called on Cricket Australia to end its sponsorship deal with fast-food chain KFC.

They say the relationship is "unhelpful and irresponsible" given the childhood obesity epidemic facing the country.

The fried chicken chain has been the official fast-food restaurant for the sport since 2003.

But Cricket Australia says that telling children they could not have KFC would not help to encouraging them to have a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
