Zimbabwe cabinet talks deadlocked again - MDC

Talks on forming a cabinet in Zimbabwe hit deadlock again on Thursday.

However, the opposition said negotiations over who should control 10 ministries will resume on Friday.

Former South African president Thabo Mbeki is mediating the talks.

A power-sharing deal was signed on 15 September between President Robert Mugabe and the heads of the Movement for Democratic Change's two factions, including its main leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

The talks resumed on Thursday, but have stalled over the allocation of ministries, including home affairs and defence.

A senior government source said earlier the parties had agreed the MDC would control the finance ministry.
