Police in Solomon Islands are hunting another man suspected of involvement in a machete attack on a New Zealand policeman. He is already wanted in connection with three killings.
A Solomon Islands man was arrested and charged on Saturday with attempting to murder Constable Chris Renata of Auckland.
He was the fourth to be arrested in connection with the case.
The machete attack on 2 September left Constable Renata with a 15cm gash in his leg.
Up to 60 Australian soldiers are helping Solomons and international police in the manhunt along the coast of the island of Guadalcanal.
Acting Police Commissioner Peter Marshall says a fifth suspect is still at large.
However, he is optimistic the man will be found despite the terrain being difficult to search.
The man arrested on Saturday is due to appear in the Honiara Magistrates Court on Monday.
