The union representing 12,000 ABC Learning staff in Australia is to meet receivers on Monday to try to ensure all centres stay open.
Last week the federal government announced a $A22 million package to bail out the centres until the end of the year.
Receivers have said that up to 40% of the centres may have to close.
However, the ABC reports that the Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union wants to know how the receivers have decided that 40% of the centres are not viable.
