A 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck under the ocean off Indonesia's Sumatra island on Saturday, the country's meteorology agency said.
The quake was at a depth of 23 km and the epicentre 142 km southwest of Bengkulu, the agency said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, but an official said the quake was felt strongly in several districts in South Sumatra. No tsunami warning was issued.
A second quake measuring 6.3 struck the same area later.
