Fiji's self-imposed leader, Frank Bainimarama, has described Australia and New Zealand as using "bully-boy" tactics that are frustrating the effforts of the interim government.
Commodore Bainimarama says all attempts to seek an amicable way forward on the stand-off with the New Zealand Government have so far been in vain.

Commodore Bainimarama says Fiji recognises the value of maintaining healthy bilateral, regional and international relationships, but the governments of Australia and New Zealand have consistently frustrated the efforts of the Fijian government by "the imposition of arbitrary, inhumane and punitive travel bans".
