American boxer Evander Holyfield has failed in an attempt to become the oldest world heavyweight champion in history.
Four-times champion Holyfield, 46, was beaten on points by Nikolai Valuev of Russia in Switzerland on Saturday.
The BBC reports Valuev is 11 years Holyfield's junior, as well as taller and more than 40kg heavier.
