Flooding in northern Victoria and NSW

There is flooding in northern Victoria in Australia.

Around 70mm of rain has fallen on Alexandra, north-east of Melbourne.

The ABC reports two hotels and a nursing home have been inundated.

The weather bureau says there has been some flash flooding at Gisborne, in the north-west.

The State Emergency Service expects flood waters to continue to rise, particularly in the north-east, Gippsland and Alpine districts.

There is also flooding in north-west New South Wales. The Darling River at Bourke is still rising.
