Egypt says it will no longer allow aid convoys heading to Gaza to cross its territory after clashes this week between members of an international convoy and Egyptian security forces.
The Foreign Minister says in future Egypt will require all aid to be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent before being taken into Gaza.
Earlier this week, international activists transporting 140 trucks full of aid staged a protest against Egypt's blockade of Gaza.
The demonstration ended in clashes with the security forces.
