Spanish MP's photo used for Bin Laden wanted poster

A prominent Spanish politician, Gaspar Llamazares says he's horrified that the FBI used a digitally altered photo of him to create an image of what Osama bin Laden might now look like.

Mr Llamazares, who ran for prime minister for a left-wing coalition in Spain in 2004, is a well-known critic of American foreign policy.

Mr Llamazares said he would no longer feel safe travelling to the US after his hair and parts of his face appeared on a most-wanted poster.

The FBI has owned up to the similarities and says the forensic artist who constructed the image had not been able to find a suitable image in the FBI's database and had chosen one from the internet instead.
