A French investment fund manager who was badly hit by the multi-billion dollar fraud by American Bernard Madoff has committed suicide in his New York office.
Thierry de la Villehuchet was the co-founder of a company that raised funds on European markets to plough into Bernard Madoff's investment scheme.
A French newspaper quotes his relatives as saying the 65-year-old could not cope with the pressure that followed the outbreak of the scandal. They said he had done nothing wrong and was trying to find a way to recoup his investors' money.
