Citizen journalists win prestigious award

Unnamed people who filmed the death of an Iranian woman in an anti-government protest in Teheran last year have been awarded one of the most prestigious prizes in American journalism, the George Polk Award.

Footage of Neda Agha Soltan, as she lay dying in a Tehran street, was seen by millions of people after it was posted on the internet.

Award curator John Darnton says this is the first time the journalism prize has honoured work produced anonymously.
