26 students die in bus crash in INdia

A bus has plunged into a river in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan, killing at least 26 students

Police say 34 others were injured when the bus smashed through a barrier as it was crossing a bridge and fell into the dry bed of the Morel River.

The bus was returning from the holy city of Vrindavan.

Road crashes claim hundreds of lives every year in India, with most blamed on reckless driving and ageing vehicles.
