[v] The international Red Cross warns that rising casualty numbers from the Israeli bombardment are putting hospitals in Gaza under extreme pressure.

Citing Palestinian health officials, the Red Cross said on Sunday that at least 275 people have been killed and more than 950 others injured since Israel began bombing Hamas on Saturday morning.

The international relief agency says hospitals are in dire need of medical supplies equipment.

Delegation head Pierre Wettach hopes five Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances will be allowed to enter Gaza from Jerusalem on Monday.
