Second boat of asylum seekers arrives in Australian waters

A boat carrying 50 passengers and four crew is the second boatload of asylum seekers intercepted northwest of Australia during the Easter weekend.

The boat was spotted by a surveillance aircraft and intercepted off Ashmore Islands.

A boat carrying 79 passengers and four crew was intercepted in the same area on Friday.

So far this year, 35 asylum seeker boats have arrived in Australian waters,
