Locust plague in northern Australia

The biggest locust plague in several decades has struck parts of northern Australia.

Millions have invaded the small town of Longreach, in central Queensland, 1100km north-west of Brisbane.

The advance of the locusts has been fuelled by the heaviest rains in years, and authorities are preparing to act if there's a threat to farmland.
